Dear Fan of Hainan Jeefan Shokudo,

Thank you very much for dining at Hainan Jeefan Shokudo -your local
chicken rice restaurant.

We are again extremely excited to announce that our Azabu branch
will be in its 11th year in May. It’s quite remarkable how we have
continued to humbly serve Singapore chicken rice to our customers
until this time -it’s a bit of a milestone for us.

Eleven years ago, just 6 years after graduating from the Culinary
Institute of America (CIA, Hyde Park, NY), Shiro and I met up once
again to discuss a possible venture into the restaurant business.
We didn’t want to do French nor Italian, but wanted to offer our
customers something remarkably tasty and yet unique.
I used to cook chicken rice to Shiro during our CIA days and
he suggested that we do a chicken rice restaurant because that
chicken rice was so memorable!
All I know is, the chicken rice back then was home cooking and
the one serving now is, in my opinion, a nearly perfected dish.
The rest is history.

Opening up a restaurant is a risky business but opening it in
the heart of Tokyo and marking 11th year is like winning a million
dollar lottery! But this is of course, not a lottery,
it came from hard work and your faith in us.
So without all of you, we would not be what we are today.

We would like to take this opportunity once again to thank each
and every one of you for that special support and precious
comments which have allowed us to grow tremendously.
Moreover, all your happy faces are the reason for us to continue
improving.
You give us an incentive to try even harder!

昨日の晩はこの３月に卒業したアルバイトの新社会人１年生が私の呼びかけで麻布店に大集合！！左からココロ（金融）、ミュー（広告）、ヒロ（金融）、カミちゃん（メーカー）。「何でも食べて飲んでもいいぞ！そして何してもいいぞ！」と言ったのが運の尽きで、食べて飲んで騒いで〆てお会計XX万円！！シローの財布はすごく軽くなったけど、その元気に免じて許す！！みんなハイナンでチャージしたそのパワーを忘れずに荒波に向かって頑張れ！！シロー
